Austin Community Contra Dance

Details

We welcome beginners & people of all ages at our community events. If you can walk to a beat, you can contra dance! All dances are taught and called. No partner necessary.

A free weekly dance at Hancock Recreation Center, with music by the Local On-Call Orchestra (LOCO). We dance every week that Hancock Recreation Center is open.

A brief beginners session is taught at 7:30, before the dance program begins. Dance ends about 9:30.

Event will be indoors

The event will follow any requirements put in place by the Hancock Recreation Center. Currently, as of April 2022, Hancock does not require masks or proof of vaccination.

The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
