Before joining Databricks in 2022, Samaya held various roles at IBM, including Advisory Software Engineer in Watson Health, where she focused on AI applications in healthcare. She has also contributed to the broader data science community through her teaching, notably instructing the popular Coursera course “Deep Learning with Keras and TensorFlow” . Recognized for her commitment to education and diversity in tech, Samaya received the 2020 Women of Color Technology Rising Star Award. She continues to advocate for inclusive innovation while mentoring aspiring technologists and contributing to open knowledge in the AI community.
