Austin Drone Meetup: Made by pilots, for pilots

We are going to re-ignite the standard Austin Drone Meetup events in a safer manner for pilots of all styles. This is an Aerial Photography-focused, but not Aerial Photography-exclusive event.

• For aerial photographers, there is lush scenery available for artistic composition such as Zilker Park against the Austin Downtown skyline
• For new pilots, there will be experienced FAA 107 licensed pilots ready to help answer questions or shoot the breeze while we shoot photos
• This event is best suited for drone pilots that can use HD transmission and/or DJI-FPV set to 50mb high-quality (incl. Audience mode)

Note: Please be mindful that this is a DJI-focused event and is not safe for analog drone flight. There are too many DJI drones present for a safe experience with analog drones in a public setting. Safety First.

ADM Safety First Promise
Safety is our greatest concern, and we host events in controlled areas, but accidents can happen. Checking in frequencies, announcing your drone and transmitter power-on events, and being mindful of other pilots is a requirement. Non-compliance will be considered placing event patrons at risk and may result in permanent ban from ADM or ATXFPV.org events.

ATXFPV.org Policy
Some ADM events are hosted by ATXFPV.org and are governed first by their event policy and then compensated or augmented by our own. ADM reserves the right to refuse event entry to any person at any time. Violence or violent behavior is unacceptable and will result in immediate dismissal and a permanent ban, and may result in legal consequences.

We are FAA certified.
Our organizers hold FAA Part 107 certification(s). In certain settings, this means we are responsible for the safety of operations for those whom are not.

By attending this event, you agree to be mindful of other pilots, and abide by both state and local laws, and the overarching FAA regulations outlined in both the Part 107 and the TRUST exam.

To fly with us, you need to check in with other nearby pilots before you power on your drone and have either your TRUST certificate or a Part 107 license on hand, available upon request.
