Display Suite Demo & Discussion

Details
Howdy gang!
For September, we'll be back at Capital Factory and discussing Display Suite (https://drupal.org/project/ds), led by Chad Evans and Lou Scalpati. Chad has experience using DS as a site builder and Lou will cover the challenges and potential pitfalls when rolling it out across a scalable infrastructure (think hundreds of sites).
From http://drupal.org/project/ds :
"Display Suite allows you to take full control over how your content is displayed using a drag and drop interface. Arrange your nodes, views, comments, user data etc. the way you want without having to work your way through dozens of template files. By defining custom view modes, you can define how one piece of content should be displayed in different places such as teaser lists, search results, the full node, views, etc."
Chad says, "Display Suite is a powerful tool for building pages that match your vision exactly. Its feature list is shockingly long and I will introduce you to some if not most of these features."
Also, pizza and beer will be served!
Last month, we went to the Gingerman and held an ADUG Beer Summit. We discussed lots of ideas for meetup topics and formats, and we compiled all of the suggestions into a very short, 30-second survey that you can fill out if you wish:

We also discussed how to distribute some of the organizational duties to avoid having those terrible gaps in our schedule that happened over the summer, and drum roll I'm happy to announce that Chad Evans, Lou Scalpati, and Chris Luther have offered to help with organizational stuff like curating topics, facilitating the meetups themselves, and generally being awesome.
Chad and Lou will be running the meetup this time around (in addition to presenting!) so make them feel welcome and they promise to do the same.
Happy Drupalling,
Chris Ruppel
