Austin Drupal Meetup (April 2026): Recipe-based Site Templates
Details
Join ~10 Drupalers and the Drupal-curious for an Austin Drupal Users Group meetup.
We're meeting at JD's house, a 7 minute walk from the intersection of South Lamar Blvd and Bluebonnet Ln (map to intersection). The exact address will be provided to registered attendees on the day of the event.
We'll probably be on his screened in porch (with fan).
BigTuna Interactive will be providing food and drinks.
Virtual attendees (those not traveling to JD's house) please RSVP for the online event hosted by Fox Valley Drupal and not this in-person event.
The 7-8pm hour will feature a presentation via Zoom that we'll join to watch as a group.
We're very grateful for our sponsors! Please contact an organizer if your company is interested in investing in the Drupal Austin community as a sponsor of a future meetup.
Whether you're an experienced Drupaler or are interested in learning more, this event is perfect for you!
Come meet someone new in our friendly, informal, inclusive, and welcoming community; you never know where it might lead.
Attendees are required to follow the Drupal Code of Conduct.

Agenda:
Times are subject to change once the venue is confirmed.
6:30pm - Gathering time
Food and drinks (details TBC) courtesy of Big Tuna Interactive.
Try to arrive by 6:45, but we welcome late arrivals.
6:45pm - Introductions, discussion, and Q&A
Meet your fellow Austin Drupalers. Ask a Drupal question. Talk about Drupal.
7:00pm - Central Timezone Zoom Meetup
Austin DUG is collaborating with other Drupal meetups in the Central Timezone on a quarterly Zoom-based meetup for one hour in the middle of our respective in-person meetups.
After some introductions, we'll hear from Andy Giles (@andyg5000) from Dripyard who will be presenting about lessons learned developing the Meridian site template for Drupal CMS. Based on his presentations from the Florida Drupal Camp 2026 and DrupalCon Chicago 2026.
We will likely also be hearing about experiences from DrupalCon Chicago.
Along with other in-person meetups in our timezone, we'll join the Zoom to watch as a group. The Zoom will also be available for remote attendees to join. Then, after the presentation, we'll go back offline to discuss.
For those joining remotely, details to join the Zoom will be shared with those who RSVP here on Meetup.com.
You can participate in the planning of this quarterly collaboration in #us-central-timezone.
Let's get you on the agenda! Please post a message in #austin-texas with your lightning talk, longer talk, demo, etc. for a future meetup.
8:00pm - In-person debrief + more discussion, networking, and Q&A
Discuss the presentation/topic further in-person. Chat with your fellow Drupalers in real life! Feel free to depart whenever is best for you.
9:30pm - Event concludes
