Build your first LiveView Native App
Details
This month we welcome Brian Cardarella, CEO of DockYard, to lead a workshop on building your first iOS app using LiveView Native!
Our meetup will start with a 20 minute presentation on what LVN is and why people should be interested in it, followed by the workshop.
The workshop portion will require the following:
- MacOS Sonoma
- Xcode 15.1
- Erlang OTP >= 26
- Elixir >= 1.15
- phx_new >= 1.7 (`mix archive.install hex phx_new`)
In addition to a MacBook, please bring an Apple device if you have one, so that we can deploy our app to external hardware together. We will have a few devices on hand (courtesy of DockYard) to show deploying to them directly as opposed to running in the simulator, for anyone that needs one.
**NOTE: You will need an Apple Developer account if you would like to deploy your app to a device — developer.apple.com**
This event will take place at Capital Factory on Brazos St in Austin from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. We will meet in the Padawan room on the 5th floor. Elevators will be unlocked, partial parking validation available ($8 max charge).
