What we’re about

If you're interested in foraging, herbal medicine, primitive skills, outdoor activities, biology, plant ID, etc., join us in exploring nature and improving our abilities to understand and interact with it for mutual benefit.

When you look at nature, do you see a sea of green and brown or a rich cornucopia of hundreds of individual species with countless uses for food, medicine, and materials? Do you see a rock or a potential knife? Acorns, or the essential food of hunter-gatherers for millennia?

Let me guide you through nature with the perspective gained from decades studying biology, ecology, and the historical ethnobotany.

I've practiced and taught foraging, flintknapping, and other paleolithic skills based on academic research for over a decade.

For teaching examples, check out @paleoforaging on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, & TikTok.
