Introducing flintknapping; turn rocks into blades by hitting them!

I'm having another free flintknapping circle open to all. Experts will be trading tips and rocks and beginners can try their hand at this ancient art.

Others will be there with a little market of farm goods, herbs, crafts, and more. And Chef Salt will be offering a delicious selection of grilled cheese sandwiches.

It'll be hosted by my friends at Xylem Farms 30 minutes away from Austin. It's a beautiful space that brings together people from the natural living community, from farmers to spiritual wellness and even rock heads like me!

Please RSVP here or paleoforaging.com/booking so we can estimate how much food to bring, otherwise, feel free to just show up!

Note that this event has been announced to 75k people on my social media accounts (@paleoforaging), so attendance from meetup.com is likely to be the minority.

DATE / TIME: March 24th, noon-3 PM.
LOCATION: Xylem Farms outside Elgin (301 County Rd 461, Coupland, TX 78615). It will be held in an open outdoor space.

Recommended to bring for flintknappers: eye protection (glasses or sunglasses are fine), long pants like jeans, closed- toe shoes, & a chair / bucket to sit on. I'll have extra gloves, tools, and rocks, but please bring tools and rocks if you have them! I will also have beginner flintknapping kits for sale.

Note that flintknapping is a dangerous activity that can easily cause injury. Attendees assume all liability for injury sustained at the event.
