Foraging Walk - Central Austin TX

Details

Hello fellow nature appreciator!

Join me on a walk as I share the historical uses of wild species for food, medicine, and materials. I will also discuss plant ID, natural history, and ecology.

Try to find a species I can't ID! I have experience as an entomologist and ecologist as well as in flintknapping and primitive skills, so nothing about nature is off-limits in this walk.

Attendance will be limited to 5 people in order to take individual questions the whole time (there are an additional 15 spots available at paleoforaging.com/booking).

It will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. The trail is easy to moderate intensity and we will be stopping a lot to look at plants.

Digital recording is fine! I will send attendees a follow-up email listing the species discussed and their uses, so you can also soak in the experience without needing intensive notes.

Location: central Austin. Attendees will be messaged with the exact location a week before the event. If you sign up last-minute, I will message you the location after you book.
Date / Time: Saturday, March 30th, 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Please email any questions or requests to paleoforaging@gmail.com.

Hope to see you there! - Cyrus
