Foraging Walk - West Austin

Details

Hello fellow nature appreciator!

Join me on a walk as I share the historical uses of wild species for food, medicine, and materials. I will also discuss plant ID, natural history, and ecology.

Try to find a species I can't ID! I have experience as an entomologist and ecologist as well as in flintknapping and primitive skills, so nothing about nature is off-limits in this walk.

It will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. The trail is easy to moderate intensity and we will be stopping a lot to look at plants.

Attendees will receive a custom foraging guide for species seen on this exact trail. This digital guide will contain my ethnobotanical research on 50+ species with photos of the local plants.

Location: West Austin. Attendees will be messaged with the exact location after you book a ticket.

Date / Time: Saturday, April 13th, 1:00-3:30 PM.

Payment: $45 per person. You can register at paleoforaging.com/booking (preferred) or here on Meetup.

Note that attendance here is limited, as most register through my website found through social media (@paleoforaging).

Hope to see you there! - Cyrus
