Build-A-Quad Workshop

Details
Greetings, Austin FPV Flyers!
Today I'm announcing our first ATXFPV.org Build-a-Quad Workshop.
An exciting day of drone-building geekery is in store! If you're like me, you love the building as much as the flying, and we want to share some of that build experience with this growing community.
This event will be focused on bringing new FPV Quad builders up to speed with FPV quad building. We hope to impart some skills and tribal knowledge of the hardware build process. I encourage members of all skill levels to attend and bring their current repair or new build project. The format for the event will be mixed; lecture, Q&A, hands-on, and one-on-one support for your builds.
Agenda:
09:30 - Setup
10:00-10:30- Meet and greet
10:30-11:30 - Lecture, practical tips, and techniques for building FPV quads.
11:30-12:00 - Soldering practice boards, developing some skill
12:00-15:00 - Q&A - Build Bonanza - Bench time with support from experienced builders.
What to build:
Bring your existing build project. Maybe it is a new drone you have all the parts for and want to discuss component layout and out have some help with the actual build. Maybe you have a prebuilt or bind and fly with some damage you want help repairing. Maybe you have just been flying the simulators and you want to buy a kit and get help building it. Bring it and we'll see you there!
Austin Drone Meetup will be sponsoring a limited number of build kits and solder practice boards. If you are interested in buying a kit at a discounted rate for the event please RSVP and reply to this invitation with contact information before August 25th. The build kits come with FrSky receivers, if you use a different control link bring a receiver.
What to bring:
- Your Build Project - The quad you are presently working on, its parts, and any bits you may need including transmitter and goggles.
- The build kits come with FrSky receivers, if you use a different control link bring a receiver.
