Why OpenAPI Needs a Successor

Details
The Austin API Meetup is back with another great event! Join ShipEngine on February 23rd from 5:30-7:30 pm CT as Danny Sheridan, CEO of Fern, speaks about Why OpenAPI Needs a Successor.
While it’s easy to document any REST API in OpenAPI, code generation can be a nightmare. That's why companies like Amazon and Stripe decided to build an alternative to OpenAPI in-house. Fern is productizing schema-first API automation. The Fern Definition is the successor to the OpenAPI Specification, allowing engineering teams to document their REST APIs and generate idiomatic code. Define your API once and click generate. Get server boilerplate, SDKs in popular languages, a Postman collection, and documentation (e.g., Stoplight, ReadMe).
