The mission of this group is simple: to encourage real, in-person, human-to-human connections in Austin. We believe there’s something special about gathering together, sharing creativity, and making new friends face-to-face. Whether you’re new in town, looking to expand your circle, or simply want to get out from behind the screen, you’ll find a warm, welcoming space here.
Who We’re Hoping to Meet
This group is for anyone looking for genuine human-to-human connection—singles, couples, locals, newcomers. Our activities focus on creativity and collaboration, but you don’t need to be an artist or musician. You just need to be open to collaborating, trying new things, and meeting people in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. Unless otherwise stated, all ages are welcome!
What to Expect at Our Events
Every meetup will include a hands-on arts or music activity that’s designed to inspire dialogue, interaction, and collaboration. No prior experience necessary—we’ll keep it simple, social, and fun. Think collaborative painting, group music jams, making zines, or other simple creative activities. Each event is crafted so you’ll leave feeling like you've truly connected with others and created something together.

This Labor Day weekend, beat the heat and enjoy an afternoon of creativity, arts, community, and spicy bites at this indoor celebration featuring samosas and chai alongside an inspiring exhibition of artwork, a curated collection of community art-making activities, and a live music showcase featuring Austin singer-songwriters.

What to Expect:
Matinee Experience 4p to 6p
- Delight in tasty sips and snacks, including spicy samosas and chai
- Enjoy art-making activities and inspiring exhibitsSoiree Experience 6p to 9p
- 6p to 7:30p: Create your own Texas-themed souvenir painting featuring a Texas Longhorn in a live step-by-step painting session along with other attendees! All supplies included, and you'll get to take your masterpiece home with you!
- 7:30p onwards: Enjoy the live music showcase featuring Austin singer-songwriters. Mingle, sip and snack, and enjoy the sights and sounds, as you stroll to admire inspiring displays of original art.Fun Photo Opps and Activities All Day Long!
- Smile and take a photo with "Joy," our life-size Texas Longhorn lovingly handpainted by local community members on a 12-foot backdrop with a hill country landscape scene.
- Enjoy arts activities and contribute to fun community arts projects, including the Citywide Community Tile Mosaic, a project we've been curating all summer long with contributions from community members across Austin.
- Spend some time at the Cards for Seniors table with other community members and work together to craft a few handmade cards for local seniors living in longterm care facilities.***
