Austin Kayak Polo Club

Kayak polo (known as Canoe Polo in Europe) is an exciting and fun game! We've been playing kayak polo on Lady Bird Lake in central Austin since 1997. We generally play twice a week all year long, on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. During spring, summer, and fall we also hold first-timers and beginners nights (Tuesday evenings). All skills and levels are welcome! We provide all the gear and instruction, generally for free (The first time you come out, you will rent a sit-on-top kayak from the Texas Rowing Center for $10. After that you will be able to use the club gear). As you improve you will want to get your own gear so it fits better.  Our club competes in the US Nationals every year and we're always looking for new players. We are the most successful club in the history of the sport in the USA! So we are a club looking for people to commit to the sport and have fun playing. You'll find that it's a very addicting sport once you start playing. So y'all come out and give it a try!
