Rainbow Rollers Nature Cruise & Bridge Party
( ROY-G-BIV Goes Roy G. Bridge )
Join our merry band of "Rainbow Rollers" (Rainbow Connections ATX + Ghisallo Cycling Initiative) We’ll take a celebratory roll over the BRAND NEW Country Club Creek Trail Bridge!
Despite being a major pedestrian thoroughfare connecting Roy G. Park to Krieg Field, the bridge has been closed for renovation and rebuild since its destruction in the 2015 Memorial Day flood. It's been a long time coming and we can't wait to cruise this crucial connector with you and all who Rainbow Roll!
NEED A RIDE? Ghisallo provides recumbent trikes (think: resting safely in a hammock while getting a wonderful workout). We also have traditional 2-wheel bikes. And helmets galore. Just make a note in the form when you register and we'll hook you up!
- Date: Saturday, October 18th, 2025
- Time: 9:30 am
- Wheels Down: 10:00 am
- Where: Boggy Creek Trail @ Conley-Guerrero Senior Center (808 Nile St.)
- Route: 4 - 5 mile loop, gentle pace, a couple small hills
- Bring: helmet, water bottle, comfortable clothes, hat, yoga mat (optional)
What is Rainbow Rollers, you ask? Well, just the most wonderful, most welcoming, and most fabulously dressed group of folks on 2- and 3-wheels! Can you join? YES, PLEASE! Rainbow Rollers is for anyone ages 18-110, and especially anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA2+ or an ally. This project is the brainchild of World Famous *BOB* (renowned performer and part of the Family Eldercare team) who recognized the need to support the aging LGBTQIA2+ population of Austin through wellness and adventure. All are welcome, regardless of how you identify, and no experience is necessary!
