This is a group for anyone who loves live jazz music. We will meet up at live jazz shows around town to enjoy the music, and support the musicians and jazz scene here in Austin. Come on out for some great live jazz with awesome fellow jazz lovers!

Come join Austin Jazz Society as they continue the longest running jazz series in Austin. Set in the Chez Zee Gallery, September features the husband-and-wife team of Mitch Watkins and Dianne Donovan.

Guitarist/producer/composer/educator, Mitch Watkins is equally at home in both the jazz clubs and the concert stage.A native Texan, Watkins has toured and recorded with many diverse artists, including Lyle Lovett, Jerry Jeff Walker, Alejandro Escovedo, Joe Ely, Austin favorite Bob Schneider, Grammy-winning choral group Conspirare, and the late Leonard Cohen (Watkins accompanied Cohen on his final world tour).
Aside from Watkins’ seven recordings as a leader, he has appeared as a sideman on many diverse recordings and has appeared on major television shows such as “The Tonight Show”, “Late Night with David Letterman”, and, of course, “Austin City Limits”.
Chez Zee is known for their brunch and desserts. Come early to experience either or both.
