Step into an evening designed to gently guide you inward: a curated journey through creativity, meditation, community, and nourishment.

Path to Spirituality is an immersive experience where art and reflection meet. Together, we’ll cultivate heart space, awaken the senses, and move intentionally from stillness into expression.

The Evening Journey

Opening + Heart Space
Omar Dayem and Abbas Mohamed will open the evening by inviting us into the practice of cultivating heart space through creativity and presence.

Paint Night Experience
We’ll then turn our spiritual attention toward the canvas with a paint session led by local Austin artist Aasiyah Baig— no experience needed, just a willingness to explore. (canvas + supplies provided)

Maghrib Prayer
As the sun sets, we will pause together for Maghrib prayer.

Break Fast - Iftar Dinner
We will break our fast with a special mindful tasting exercise to awaken the senses and bring intention to nourishment.

Dinner will be catered by beloved local halal restaurant The Fez Food, offering a thoughtfully prepared menu for our community.

Aasiyah Baig is a local Austin artist. Check out her website: www.housebaig.com

This event is presented by GAMA: Gathering All Muslim Artists and hosted in partnership with AMP - Austin Muslim Professionals.

AMP - Austin Muslim Professionals is a volunteer-run community org for local professionals. We’ve grown to 650+ members on Meetup and 250+ on WhatsApp, and have hosted over 40 events focused on connection and belonging. Join and stay tuned for more heart-led community events.

GAMA builds platforms that nurtures Muslim artists in order to weave the arts back into the mainstream Muslim narrative and to develop a culture of creativity and patronage within the broader Muslim community.
