In-Person .NET MeetUp: Refactoring to Functional Patterns in C#

Details

It's true C# is an object-oriented programming language, but it's always had a pinch of a functional paradigm to it, and over the past several years Microsoft has upped it to at least a tablespoon. Join me to see the benefits of these features, especially for new applications, but also for existing ones as we refactor some heavily "OO" code to an improved, "func-y" vibe. We can't curry and are still a version or two away from real algebraic types, but we still have plenty of functional tools to make our code easier to read, easier to test, and especially easier to safely modify.

*Happy hour to follow at The Boat!
