Functional training is one of the most widely used concepts in modern fitness. Despite its popularity, few professionals can clearly define what functional training is, or apply it systematically.

Throughout the session, we’ll combine guided discussion, practical examples, and structured frameworks to deepen our understanding and improve how we program for clients.

In this workshop, we will explore:

1. The 5 Pillars of Functional Movement
A clear framework for evaluating and developing movement capacity.

2. Common Mobility Restrictions Limiting Clients
We’ll examine real-world patterns you’re seeing in practice and discuss efficient strategies to address them.

3. The Functional Movement Framework We Use at Community Strength Austin
A repeatable system for assessing, prioritizing, and programming for long-term performance and resilience — with open discussion on how it translates to your setting.

This is not a sit-and-listen lecture. It’s a collaborative professional workshop built around thoughtful dialogue, shared experience, and practical application.

At the conclusion of the session, all attendees will receive a PDF summary of the CSA Functional Movement Framework for immediate implementation.
