TITLE:
Data Modeling Best Practices

SESSION DESCRIPTION:
The session will include the following topics:

  • The first normal form of a table (The Key)
  • Too many tables (Conformed Dimensions)
  • Star Schema or Single Table Dump
  • Granularities of columns in fact and dimension tables
  • Many to many relationships
  • Data type issues (Int for keys, be careful with strings)
  • Data transformations in DAX

Speaker Bio:
Thomas has been a BI consultant since 1998 and used Power BI since 2015. He is based on Malmo Sweden.
