Welcome to the group for doing practical data science in Austin, Texas. We focus on analyzing interesting, novel and real datasets in a collaborative environment. If you have ever wanted to experience the problems that other data scientists are tackling, get exposed to a wide variety of methods (classical/frequentist, Bayesian, ML, etc.) that you aren't (yet) using, and share your expertise in a collaborative environment – this is the group for you.
The point of the group is to learn, but this is definitely not (yet another) data science bootcamp – arrive expecting to share your expertise & collaborate on an analysis, not get taught at.
A strict no sales pitch rule will be enforced.
Familiarity with Jupyter and python, R or spark is required.
