What we’re about
Robert Caro is known as a biographer of major American political figures of the twentieth century. His books serve as a jumping-off point for many other topics: American public policy and history, political institutions, urbanism, the acquisition and use of power.
This group is a little bit of an experiment. Ideally, I’d like to find people who would be willing to read his biographies of Lyndon Johnson and Robert Moses along with me.
BUT - even if you aren’t going to read these books, I’d like to find a group of people interested in discussing these topics more broadly. I’d like to set other related books and media aside from these biographies as well.
