Demo: Usman Roshan - Fully autonomous self laundry folding robot demo

Description: Simple household tasks that even children can easily do are still well outside the domain of physical AI. We are creating and training models to have robots autonomously clean dishes straight from a kitchen sink and fold laundry straight from the dryer. In this demo we will demonstrate our laundry folding model on a pair of robot arms from a third party manufacturer using vision input alone. We will give the robot crumpled t-shirts from the dryer and watch it live fold and stack t-shirts. We will demo the robot in two different locations in a new unseen environment and on unseen t-shirts.

Bio: Usman Roshan is the founder of 7X and Robust AI and an Associate Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Yunzhe Xue is Chief AI Engineer at Robust AI. Both Roshan and Xue created and trained the model in their home with basic resources.
