Silent Hike, at Upper Bull Creek

For those who need solitude to reflect on the holiday, like to listen to birds and the wind rustling through the trees, or feel cooped up in a house with chatty relatives, this moderately brisk, rocky, 6 mile hike provides invigoration and time for reflection. Via the Upper Bull Creek greenbelt and neighborhood streets, we will be on a pilgrimage to endangered species habitat at the edge of the Balcones Canyonland Preserve.

No pets or music please. Recommended to bring a phone for emergency use only. We will take a break midway with water and restroom. (Conversation is OK while hiking on the residential streets and during breaks.)

OK to socialize afterwards - we typically go out for an early dinner at an authentic Chinese restaurant . Portions are huge - you will have leftovers for Christmas day.
