Our Mission: To keep the Austin Metropolitan Area healthy — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually through meaningful, inclusive, and well-organized group events.

How We Support Whole-Person Well-Being

• Physical: Dance socials, fitness activities, walks, and hikes
• Emotional: Interactive events that encourage conversation, connection, and social bonding
• Mental: Board games, strategy games, and intellectually engaging activities
• Spiritual: Meditation, mindfulness sessions, volunteering, and service-oriented events

Who Can Join?
This group is open to:

• Singles and non-singles
• Individuals seeking meaningful relationships in both personal and professional lives
• People who value diversity, respect, and community

Why This Group Was Started

• This community was born to help navigate the social and emotional challenges amplified by the pandemic.
• Pre-pandemic depression rate: ~9%
• Post-pandemic depression rate: ~35%

One of the major contributing factors: lack of social connection and support.
Global Social Butterflies exists to rebuild human connection in a healthy, intentional way.
