Exploring Puerh Tea

Details
For this next tea talk, we will be exploring puerh tea! Commonly pressed into cakes or bricks, and known for its ability to improve with age and its unique health benefits, this fermented tea from Yunnan is perhaps one of the most fascinating but also least understood types of teas. We will taste different types of puerh from the two main categories - raw and ripe - and of different ages. We will discuss history and background, steeping techniques, health benefits and more. Class will be taught by certified tea specialist Melanie Mock.
Discussion will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 6:30pm in the Zhi Tea Gallery (4607 Bolm Road, 78702).
**Due to space limitations, we kindly require that you RSVP via one of the Meetup Events, or email/call us directly at 512-539-0717 or gallery@zhitea.com. Registration for this tea talk is $10 to cover the cost of the venue and all tea served -- payment can be arranged prior to or at the talk.
