The Welcome Table Houston: Coffee & Connections
Minuti Coffee @ Westheimer Rd, 8821 Westheimer Rd,Houston,TX 77063, Houston, TX, USForget "networking" and try "friending." If you’ve ever felt nervous walking into a room of strangers, this is for you. I’ll be right at the door to greet you and introduce you to some truly wonderful people. No cold starts, no awkward silences—just good coffee and easy introductions.
### How to Make the Most of It
We’re making it effortless, but real connection is a team effort! Here are a few "pro-tips" to help the magic happen:
- Keep it Moving: Instead of staying at one table the whole time, try to wander a bit. Once you’ve had a great chat with someone, feel free to move to a new spot and meet someone fresh!
- Be a Curious Friend: Genuine interest goes a long way. Ask questions, listen well, and help others feel welcome.
- Keep it Light: We’re here to build comfort. Avoid overly personal questions early on—let the conversation flow naturally so everyone feels at ease.
- Small Efforts, Big Results: If each of us makes a casual effort to reach out, we all make real progress in building a community.
The Golden Rule: These are just tips to help us all connect better, but they aren’t "mandatory." Most importantly, just bring yourself as you are.
Logistics
- How to find us: 15 minutes prior to the event start time on Friday, I will post my phone number and a description of what I’m wearing in the group chat. Please reach out if you can’t find us!
- Stay Updated: Keep an eye on the chat for any real-time updates!
Parking situation:
- At the Minuti Coffee located at 8821 Westheimer Rd, the parking situation is generally free but tight, and a Sunday morning at 10:00 AM represents one of the absolute busiest times of the week
The Lot Setup - Shared Strip Center Lot: This location features a standard, free open parking lot right in front of the building.
- Business Competition: You will be sharing spaces with visitors heading to neighboring businesses in the same plaza, including a popular local kolache shop.
- Layout: The spaces immediately in front of the coffee shop are limited and fill up very rapidly
Sunday Morning Conditions (10:00 AM)
- Peak Busyness: Historical traffic data indicates that Sunday mornings are when this location hits its maximum weekly crowd levels.
- Spot Availability: Because it is prime breakfast and study hours, finding a spot directly in front of the store can be difficult.
- Street Parking Option: If the main lot is completely full, free street parking is typically available on the adjacent side roads, though you should carefully read all posted signs to ensure you are legally parked
