People are usually busy on the weekends, so... Purpose of this group is to host hobby-centered activities up to a few times a month on weeknights (targeting Thursday nights)
Also, I don't know about you, but as an Austin native I'm just tapped out on all the 6th street-type events. So most events will be sober-friendly at least

No dues, although K1 charges per session:
~$26.95/single race or ~$62.95/3 races (from their website)
Also, Emerald Tavern serves food and drinks at cost
