This is one of the most popular routes in the area and makes for a great day out on the trail. There are several hilly areas that provide a decent amount of elevation gain in the varied terrain. The trail can be rocky and narrow in some sections, and proper footwear is advised. Shade can be found throughout the whole trail. While dogs are allowed in this area, bringing them on this trail is not advisable due to river crossings required, which could be difficult for most dogs.
