Details

Description
This is an in-person event at the Capital Factory. Parking validations will be available for $7.00 parking in the basement of the Omni Hotel.

Join us for this Austin AIoT workshop where Joe Narvaez will be giving a workshop on programming using the Rust programming language on the ESP32-C3-DevKit-RUST development board. Dev boards will be provided and will be yours to keep!

In this workshop we will learn how to program the ESP Rust board to send sensor data to an MQTT server. This is a common use case for IoT systems.

There will be a $10 charge to attend this event. Attendance at this event will be limited to 10 attendees. If you are not able to attend please update your RSVP so others can have a chance. Refunds will only be given if this event is canceled or rescheduled.

The workshop we will be following for this event will be Part 1 of the workshop at this link:
https://espressif-trainings.ferrous-systems.com/.

If Part 1 goes well we would like to go ahead with the more advanced Part 2 of this workshop at a future time.

If you are new to the Rust programming language, the ATX.JS meetup will be giving a crash course on Rust on Monday September 26th. There is no charge and no equipment needed for the Rust crash course. People interested in this workshop are encouraged to attend the ATX.JS Rust primer. Learn more by RSVPing here:
