What we’re about
Austin NLP is dedicated to fostering the study and use of NLP in the Central Texas region. The tools of NLP help people achieve excellence in all areas of life -- from sports to business, relationships to making powerful personal changes.
We often take a break or slow down in July/ August. The rest of the year, we meet at least once each month (often much more!) to practice, study and learn from one another. We have online events and in person events in Austin.
We have regular events focused on NLP and hypnosis that anyone may attend - NLP practitioner or beginning learner.
We also host the Free Day of NLP from time-to-time and also 2-day workshops on NLP.
We started meeting in 2002 and have over 1,000 members now.

See all- Intro to NightWalking: From Anxiety to Flow, with Katie RaverKatie Raver Training, Austin, TX
What is NightWalking and how can you use it to...
~ walk in the dark without artificial light,
~ to lessen anxiety, and
~ to rapidly move into flow states associated with responsiveness, productivity, inner peace, and feeling great? This evening program will help you experience the first few eye exercises required NightWalking (indoors, in a small way!) and decide for yourself how it might be useful or fun to you!
As usual, you'll also get plenty of tips from Katie for practicing NightWalking and night vision on your own.
Note: this class is held indoors at Katie Raver Training in East Austin. There's no actual NightWalk for this program. :-)
Our agenda for the evening:
6:30pm: arrive, find us, say hello
7:00pm: we begin our class
8:30pm: class closes
9:00pm: latest for everyone to departFree coffee and water provided in the training room.
More About the NightWalking:
NightWalking is walking at night without artificial light. The purpose of NightWalking is to receive all the benefits from staying in peripheral vision for more than a few seconds at a time. Modern, urban life is filled with small spaces and light. NightWalking is about inhabiting the dark in wide outdoor spaces.NightWalking is taught outdoors, at night, usually in places with little or no artificial light around. It’s easiest to learn on walkable-yet-uneven natural terrain (not pavement) and can be quickly taught with a guide.
NightWalking participants report that they loose their fear of the dark, they feel “part of the night” instead of in it, and are often surprised that they can see so much detail and so far at night without any artificial light.NightWalking was developed by psychotherapist and Structure of Delight author Nelson Zink in Taos, New Mexico. Nelson wanted to find ways to help his clients with anxiety. Based on brain research studies and his own explorations in the dark, wild desert of northern New Mexico, he developed the NightWalking training and approach.
