Peripheral Walking with Katie Raver
Tuesday October 27, 2009; 7:00 - 9:00PM
Location: Unity Center, 9603 Dessau Road
Cost: $10 donation to Unity Center; optional $5 for Peripheral Vision Training Device

Some great reasons to learn the simple process of Peripheral Walking:

*Access flow states whenever you want, increasing your productivity and sense of satisfaction!

*Quickly shift out of problem mindsets!

*Connect your conscious and other-than-conscious minds in new and surprising ways, allowing more effective behaviors to arise from within!

*Silence and relax internal mind chatter

People who have mastered Peripheral Walking also report greater relaxation in a multitude of situations, and they can walk at night without artificial light.

Developed most recently by NLP author Nelson Zink, Peripheral Walking (also called Night Walking) requires you to walk using peripheral vision instead of focused vision. Because we use focused vision for our everyday waking state of mind, most Peripheral Walkers experience a greatly altered state of consciousness.

For this month’s program you’ll learn how to peripherally walk, try it out for yourself, and experience shifting a “problem” to “no problem” using Peripheral Walking. No NLP experience required.

PLEASE BRING:

*A hard-billed baseball cap

*Comfortable shoes. We’ll be walking in the courtyard at Unity Center.

*$5 if you want to keep your Peripheral Vision Training Device (You can borrow one for free during the class. You can also make your own based on the simple design you'll see in class)

Katie Raver has logged over 100 hours of Peripheral Walking, from the Texas Lost Pines to Manhattan to board meetings. She helped start the Austin NLP Meetup (along with Keith Fail, Mike Bown, Sans Talbot, Marco Schneider, and Alec Nicholls) in 2003. She’s now an active, enthusiastic participant of the meetup and continues to marvel at how NLP can dramatically shift people’s personal and professional lives!
