The Austin Python Meetup Monthly Meetup
Details
For our March meetup, we'll have two fun presentations. Our first presentation is from Danny Pernik about opencurrents, an alternative currency generated by social action, implemented using Python. As he describes it: "The problem with money is that most of us don't have enough of it to thrive. openCurrents enables anyone to create currency by giving time to social organizations. Since everyone has time to give, everyone can create Currents."
Our second talk, by Jimmy Song, will give a quick 15-20 minute talk introducing asyncio, with examples, and some time for Q&A.
Finally, we have time for lightning talks, so please email me or come up at the meetup to let me know if you want to speak for a few minutes. We have one provisional talk already
Our food & drink sponsor this month is Technology Navigators, a technical staffing firm specializing in recruiting skilled individuals for project-oriented consulting, contract, contract-to-hire and permanent positions. They will have folks on-hand to talk about what they do, and answer questions.
