We typically have a main presentation or a series of lightning talks, followed by discussion and Q&A. There is a diversity of domains and experience levels represented, so come with your questions and be prepared to talk about how you use Python!

Talk 1: Michael Lewellen "Python for the Ethereum Blockchain"
Learn what blockchains are and how Python can be used to create decentralized applications on the Ethereum platform. We'll cover Pythonic tools, frameworks, and languages used to create smart contracts.
Michael Lewellen is a software consultant and architect with 8 years of experience working on blockchain technology. He's the co-founder and CEO of Tarski Technologies; he also serves as a Board Member for the Texas Blockchain Council and regularly lectures at UT Dallas.
Talk 2: David Aktary "Hummingbot for crypto trading"
The Hummingbot is an open source Python project that can be used for algorithmically trading cryptocurrency. The talk will describe how to use it and modify it with Python/Cython and demonstrate some basic capabilities.
David Aktary is the founder of AktaryTech, a custom software development shop headquartered in Austin, Texas, that specializes in building complex business applications for clients that range from small, funded startups to Fortune 500 companies like Qualcomm, USAToday, and Universal Music Group.
