What You Should Know About DevOps - The Importance of Company Culture
DevOps has come into the popular vocabulary in software engineering in recent years, but the underlying principles are actually much older, growing out of the industrial manufacturing industry's Lean Manufacturing movement. Today, a lot of companies focus on the software and technical aspects of DevOps, but gloss over the cultural aspects that allowed Lean to thrive. This presentation will go over the Three Ways of DevOps, the importance of company culture to each, and how to form the right culture around your development and operations teams, as well as pitfalls to avoid when building DevOps into your company culture.
After our main presentation Danny Mulligan will lead a discussion on how we can create content for future APUG meetups, and look for ideas on how we can make the meetup better for everyone.
