We have two great talks lined up for our November meeting!

Have you ever wanted to add a bit of syntactic sugar to Python? Have you ever wanted to embed other languages in Python? Have you ever wanted to do partial evaluation or compile-time code specialization in Python? Mython is an extensible variant of the Python language that can help you do all of these things. This Wednesday, Jon Riehl will show off Mython, and examples of how it can help with extending Python syntax and semantics.

After that, Andy Terrell will show off symbolic statistical computation in Python, using improvements to SymPy from this past summer. In this talk, he will present the basic implementation of random variables and a few examples of using them.
