Title: Visualizing Problems: From Abstract to Concrete

Abstract: Our job as developers is to solve problems, but in order to solve problems, we first have to understand them. While it can be challenging to visualize abstract concepts, tactile methods can be a useful learning aid to make abstract concepts concrete.

Bio: Rachel is a software developer, career changer, native Houstonian, and a UT alum. While she previously worked in fintech for three years, she's also interested in health tech and civic tech. Outside of software development, you can find her painting, climbing, playing DnD, or attempting to play ice hockey.
