July Scotch Social at Stevan and Mel's South Lamar/Ben White area

Stevan and Mel will host our July Scotch Social at their home in south Austin! You may be questioning why the July social is happening in late June? Many Scotch lovers will be in Scotland in July and between that and July 4th weekend, holding it on the last Saturday in June worked out better for the "July" social! Please bring a bottle of Scotch and some food to share with other Scotch Lovers for an evening of fun and whisky! This will be Steven and Mel's first social and we are so grateful to them for offering to host!

The general location is south of Ben White and South Lamar. We will email the address and directions to all RSVPs right before the event, usually on Saturday afternoon! This way we can get to all the RSVP's in one email message (hopefully).

You may smoke cigars outside. Please feel free to bring yours if you wish to smoke!

A reminder about how the Scotch socials work:

• Please bring at least one bottle of whisky to share at the event. You will take your whisky home with you when you go. It does not need to be a new bottle.
• Some food is provided but if you would like to bring some food to share, that is always appreciated.
• You may bring a friend, but please RSVP and add the number of guests you will bring so the host knows how many people to expect.
• Please be kind and keep your RSVP up to date if your plans change.

These are truly our favorite events as it's an informal way to try new whiskies and meet other whisky enthusiasts of all levels - the true core of what our group is about!

The Austin Scotch Lovers is a group for people 21 and over. We expect that all members and their guests will drink responsibly. Please rideshare if possible or have a designated driver for your group.

Scotch socials are meant to be a chance to meet up with fellow members and try some new whisky. Often there will be quite a selection of bottles from which to choose. These events are meant to be an opportunity to try some whiskies, not all! Please choose wisely and drink responsibly. Whisky is a powerful drink and though we always celebrate its glory, we are also respectful of its effect.
