Dear Austrians,
**Eurodollar System** - The great illusion of Bank Vault and the Shadow Reserve System

For over a century, our money hasn’t really been "money". It’s been entries on ledgers, promises written in digital ink; a ghost of money, living in balance sheets and databases.

Banks, far from being warehouses of gold and cash, became glorified bookkeepers. Then, sometime in the mid-20th century, dollars began to multiply outside the United States: a vast shadow reserve system that operates beyond Central Banks' reach.

I look forward to watching a video presentation from Jeff Snider with you and to our subsequent Socratic debate.

We will meet again in the Hayek Hall at the Hayek Institute in Vienna. The event will be held in English.
