Why I'm hosting this
Becoming a mother is such a profound transition, one that has been accompanied by ritual and community for centuries. Yet, so many feel separated from that.
I’m hosting this as a new mom myself. During my pregnancy, I went to plenty of prenatal classes in Munich. They were useful, but I often found that everyone left as soon as the class ended, with little space to connect beyond the practice itself. I was missing a space to connect on a deeper level.
I’m also a big fan of ecstatic dance. During pregnancy, regular ecstatic dance events didn't quite feel right for me. They could be crowded and intense, and I wanted something more gentle and held for this particular time.
So I thought: why not create the kind of space I was looking for myself?
About me
I’m Kate, an integrative coach, movement facilitator and new mama myself.
- certified coach (iMCP, Canada) with 300+ hours of individual and group coaching experience
- certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher trained through the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley
- certified breathwork facilitator
- certified Neurodynamic Recovery practitioner
- Before moving into this work, I worked as a Learning & Development expert in international companies, facilitating groups, workshops and learning experiences.
I’ve been practicing meditation, yoga and different forms of embodied movement for many years, and I’m a big fan of ecstatic dance.
Becoming a mother has given me an entirely new perspective on the body, change and this transition into motherhood and I'm glad to accompany other women along this journey.
