Authentic Portland's Circling Night

We are happy to announce another community Circling Night. Greg will be leading the night with the help of Anne and Jason. We are limiting attendance to 14 people, so if you signed up and are not able to attend please make sure to change your status for the evening, even if it's last minute. If you happen to end up on the waiting list, please check on your status as things can change. Thanks!

Our Circling practice is a social meditation where a person has the opportunity to be seen, heard and understood in the moment by a group of people. The goal is not to fix someone but instead to celebrate and honor who and where they are right now. Within circling we break through the assumptions and projections we have about each other and create deeper connection and understanding.

Circling is a practice that requires your full presence. We need all participants to arrive well rested and nourished with a clear and unaltered mind, this also includes having a drink beforehand.

We recommend that each person attend a few Games Nights before attending a Circling Night. We understand though if you are unable to attend any Games Nights, due to scheduling conflicts.

What to bring: You are welcome to bring a snack to share and your own water bottle. We are asking for a suggested donation of $10 or what you feel is good to give in the moment.

Doors will open at 6:45, please do not arrive earlier than that, since this is someone's home. Circling will start at 7:00 sharp so please be prompt, once a circle has been started the doors will be closed.

Depending on attendance, we might have one large or two smaller circles. Our first Circling session will be for 40 minutes. Afterwards, we will have a discussion on how it went for the group. Then we will break for 5-10 minutes. The next Circling session will also be for 40 minutes, with a group discussion to follow. If we have two separate circles, we will also conclude as a whole in the end and speak about how it went for the groups. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.

Location will be at someone's home and you will be notified by email 1-2 days before the event. If you have signed up and have not received an email please contact us for the location.
