We share this heart-based space together, and we bond and laugh and cry. We come away feeling more fully human. You're invited too.
First, we become inwardly quieter and attentive - to set the space for another human being to reveal themselves to us. We tune in to our own attitude of interest, care, and respect, and we open ourselves to being surprised by what we find. Being welcomed into another's inner world is a gift to us, and our pristine attention is a gift to them. Being heard with a curious and non-judgmental attitude, we come to know ourselves better, and often start opening to new possibilities. There is an art both to listening as well as to being willing to be really heard... Both deepen as we continue to put attention on them.
At intersections, sharers choose what kind of feedback, questions, or other options they want to receive from the listeners. Listeners draw on their own experience of hearing, and reveal themselves through how they listen. Everyone gets a chance to speak, and a chance to be seen and heard in the eyes of others.
