### What to Expect in a Session

We’ll start by setting the tone — this is a safe, confidential space, no “performance critique,” and no pressure to be perfect.

Each session begins with a short teaching on anxiety, social psychology and the body — why your heart races, why your mind goes blank — and some simple tools you can use to steady yourself.

Then we’ll warm up with something small, like saying your name or a quick check-in, so you can ease into speaking.

The heart of the group is speaking practice. Everyone will get a turn, but this isn’t about “performing.” You won’t hear feedback like “next time, move your hands like this” — that kind of thing usually makes people more self-conscious, not less.

Instead, you’ll reflect on how authentic you felt, and the group will reflect on how connected they felt to you. Over time, you’ll see that the more real you are, the more people actually lean in.

Sometimes we’ll add a gentle “exposure exercise” — like speaking into silence, or talking about yourself for a bit longer than feels comfortable.

Always safe, always at your pace.

We’ll end with a reflection round, where you notice what felt good, what was hard, and what surprised you.

This isn’t like other public speaking groups that drill technique or try to make you polished. It’s about discovering that your real self is safe to be seen — and that’s what makes you confident and magnetic when you speak.
