Authentic Relating: The Art of True Connection

• Cost: $50–$75 sliding scale (Scholarships available).

In a world of digital noise, Authentic Relating is an invitation to return to what’s real. Come as you are—not as you "should" be—for a day of deep, meaningful connection in a spacious, cozy, private residence near SE Ann Arbor's Buhr Park.

Facilitator:
Charity Loring, LMSW, integrates therapeutic modalities into authentic relating to create a whole-system approach to human connection. Everyone is welcome in this inclusive, queer-led space.

The Experience:
We will learn and practice various connection and communication games via authentic relating, mindfulness, playfulness, being intentional with our words and actions, movement practices and NVC (non violent communication).
We will use large group, small group and one on one formats (may vary for different events)
Our gatherings are platonic, sober, and consent-based. You are always "at choice," encouraged to participate or witness as you see fit. We honor the word "no" as a self-honoring act that makes a "yes" even more trustworthy. All relationship styles, genders, and neurotypes are celebrated.

• Cost: $50–$75 sliding scale (Scholarships available).
• Registration: Must pay in advance by Friday, April 17, 12:00 PM.

• Limit: 15 people.
Itinerary
• 9:30 AM: Welcome & Settle In
• 10:00 AM: Opening Circle (No late arrivals permitted)
• 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM: Connect More Event

• Space: 12 steps to the front door; seating for all bodies and abilities available inside.

• Environment: This is a scent-free and sober space. Please avoid perfumes, smoking, or vapes.
• Bring: Writing tools, a water bottle, and snacks or a meal (fridge/microwave available).
