We're here to explore racial equity together. Welcome to our Meetup #2 on MLK weekend.

Join us for a conversation about racial equity at the neighborhood Starbucks in Solana Beach. We're creating a welcoming and safe space to share our personal experiences and reflect on how race and equity have shaped our lives and communities. Our mission is to bring people from all over San Diego together to work together for racial equity.

Our goal for the meet up is that we all share, feel, connect, and create a ripple effect of change as we begin to understand the inequities in our community. We value differing perspectives and respect everyone's reality. We ask you to do the same as you join our Meet up Events.

There are a few keys to supporting an open conversation. Here's a guide to help you participate an help evolve this important conversation.

Authenticity is key. Personal experience is essential to the growth of all attending.
Respect different experiences and viewpoints. We are here to learn.
Listen when others are sharing. Avoid side talking
Share on the topic at hand.
Keep comments and experience to 3 minutes so everyone can share. This is an estimate guided by a facilitator.
Please be aware of others when you share; language is powerful.
Connect afterwards! Starbucks is open and if you want to connect after the scheduled one our for our meetup, feel free. We will officially end our meet up event one hour after we start.
