Write Night in Marrickville

Hi everyone - Welcome to Write Night in Marrickville!

First, my apologies - we were going to have a meeting last night on the 27, but I didn't get around to organising it sorry (too many life things in the way). I'm back to HK now, but Luke will this upcoming meeting on Sep 17.

The group meets at the Gasoline Pony (on Marrickville Road). It's a great venue. We meet out the back in an outdoor area (see the picture!)

The group normally get enough people that we break into smaller seperate groups of about 6-8 or so. Each group writes and critiques together.

The group starts the evening with some writing exercises, so please bring along paper, pencil/pen, laptop, whatever works for you. After that, you go over any written material you care to share with us: two full pages at most, or a few more if spaced out (such as with poetry). Please bring around 6-8 print-outs of pre-written work, and be prepared to offer constructive - but nice and supportive - feedback. As usual, if there are too many people, everyone will split into two groups.

Also as usual, the official finish time as 8.30pm, but people often hang around for a bit of mid-week socialising with fellow creatives, so feel free to drop by and stay a while. Very relaxed and welcoming!
