About us
I created Autism Level 1 Only because I couldn’t find a local, affordable support group or sisterhood specifically for Black women with ASD Level 1.
I simply want to find my people so I don’t feel alone.
This is a free community for Black women ages 18 and older in Fort Lauderdale and surrounding Broward County who have been diagnosed with ASD Level 1.
My goal is for us to connect, build genuine friendships, share our experiences, support one another, and enjoy activities together. Whether it’s brunch, outings, discussing our special interests, or simply being around women who understand us, I want us to create our own community.
No pressure to mask, force conversations, make eye contact, or fit into anyone else’s expectations.
I’m not an autism expert, nor am I trying to be. I’m simply a Black woman with ASD Level 1 looking for other women like me.
Let’s build the sisterhood we’ve been looking for.
