See all- PAUSE: Conservatory GardenVanderbilt Gate, New York, NY
PAUSE Events are for non-speaking, intellectually disabled, and/or high-support needs Autistic adults. You are welcome to bring a family member, friend, mentor, or aide to this event!
The conservatory garden is a quiet, formal garden at the north side of Central Park. There are many beautiful flowers and sculptures to look at in the garden!
At 11:00am, you will find us in front of the Vanderbilt Gate on 5th avenue. Once everyone arrives, we will follow the sidewalk trails and take a slow walk to look through the garden together. If you are running late, that's okay! Just let us know in the event chat.
There may be other people walking around in the garden. You are welcome to use earplugs, headphones, sunglasses, or other sensory tools during our walk to help with overstimulation. Be sure to bring water and comfortable shoes!
The garden is free and ramp accessible. There are restrooms located within the garden.
____At PAUSE events, members are welcome to bring a family member, aide, or caretaker to accompany them at events. Non-Autistic adults are also welcome to sign up for an Autistic member. If you are registering for an Autistic adult, please be sure to include a plus 1 with your RSVP!
We kindly request that members with low-support needs refrain from RSVPing to keep the priority of PAUSE events towards intellectually disabled, non-speaking, and high-needs individuals. Read more here about PAUSE.
