Trail info: We are taking a walk around Chipstead Downs and the Banstead trail, we will be walking through open farmland, chalk grassland and woodland.

We also will see Ella Fielding's wood sculptures that bring C.S. Lewis's classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life. The main wooden sculptures along the route include:

  • Lucy Pevensie by the Lamppost: A detailed carving featuring Lucy standing next to a lamppost, typically marking the start of the trail near the car park.
  • Aslan the Lion: A striking wooden sculpture of the great lion carved directly into or atop a natural tree stump.
  • The Walk-Through Wardrobe: An interactive enchanted wardrobe installation complete with hanging wooden winter coats that visitors can step through.
  • The White Witch: A towering, imposing figure whose carved wooden "skirts" form a den-like structure for children to explore.
