Wellington Botanic Gardens - Downhill walk to feed the Ducks

Let's all enjoy the summer weather together at Wellington Botanic Garden!
We will meet outside the Cable Car Museum at 10:00am. While we wait for everyone to arrive, we will take in the view of the city and catch up.
At 10:15am we will explore the Cable Car museum before starting our stroll down hill at 10:35am. We will head down hill, taking the left path, towards the duck pond.
At 11:10am we will begin feeding the ducks (bring rolled oats!) and chill by the duck pond until 11:40am. Finally we'll finish our walk at the Rose Garden and have lunch together at 12:00pm at Picnic Cafe. Lunch is an optional component of the event.
What if I can't make the down hill walk?
For those that can't make or do the walk, we can meet you at the Café at the end of the walk and meet then.
Is this a guided tour?
No, this will be a casual walk with light socialising on the way down the hill. The Host is not a tour guide. The timings above are an approximate guide the host will follow.
What if it's raining?
If it's raining, we will cancel the walk and meet at the Picnic Café for lunch at 12. You will know the walk has been cancelled because the host will post a message in the Meetup Comments on the morning of the event saying so. If no message has been posted, the walk is going ahead.
How do I get to the cable car museum? Where do I park?
You can catch the cable car up from Lampton quay, or drive/bus to Upland Road. There is limited free parking in the area and paid (expensive) Wilson Car park next to the Cable Car.
